About Us
The Frequency Hearing Centre is a full service audiology clinic. We provide comprehensive hearing examinations, prescription of hearing aids and other assistive listening devices, we are a registered hearing aid vendor and provide state of the art hearing technology and hearing aid fittings. We discuss and recommend the best course of treatment that is best suited to each individual patient. We prescribe, dispense, repair and program all makes and models of hearing aids.
Our Team
Jacqueline McCormick
Jackie is the clinic owner and the audiologist at the Frequency Hearing Centre, she has been practising audiology since 2004 and has experience working in both private practice and public health settings. Jackie has a Bachelor of Science from Lakehead University, a Master’s of Clinical Science in Audiology from Western University and a Doctor of Audiology degree from Salus University. She is a member in good standing of the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario. Jackie is also the regional audiologist for the Ontario Infant Hearing Program.
Jackie is proud to be born and raised in the Rainy River District. She is a graduate of both Sturgeon Creek Elementary School and Rainy River High School. Jackie hails from and continues to make her home along the banks of the Rainy River in Stratton with her husband, Andy and two hockey loving and fishing obsessed sons, Callum and Zander. The McCormick’s love their life on the water and in the country.
Jackie is an avid curler and has competed at the regional, provincial, national and world levels. In addition to loving throwing rocks at houses, she also enjoys cheering on her sons in the hockey stands, following the Stratton Eagles fastball team around the district, doing anything outdoors and spending time with her family.
Angela Haw
Upon entering the Frequency Hearing Centre you will be greeted by Angela Haw. Angela has worked alongside Jackie since 2011 and enjoys helping with all client needs whether it’s answering a question, scheduling an appointment or repairing a hearing aid. Angela and her husband Neil love to spend time with their family on their beef farm north of Stratton or outdoors enjoying all that living in Northwestern Ontario has to offer.
Services We Provide
We provide ear wax removal, medical referrals and hearing and hearing aid counselling. We work closely with and provide services for the Ontario Assistive Devices Program, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, the Department of Veteran Affairs, Ontario Disability and Support Program and the First Nation Inuit Health Branch. We are also the regional service provider for the Ontario Infant Hearing Program. We see all ages of patients from birth to older adults. We provide itinerant remote clinics to the west end of the Rainy River District and to Atikokan.
